閑原 Shian Yuan  台灣   b.1983

畢業於東海大學美術研究所，閑原以她純熟奔放鮮明的風格表現她對傳統水墨的了解與敬重。新系列作品『荷瓶就在眼前』更是展現出藝術家對於敘利亞戰事與難民潮的關注。近年來受到北歐與印度文化的影響，閑原以輕快明亮的設色，透過水墨畫中尋常的花卉與盆景題材，表達她對於人道的關懷。

Shian Yuan, studied at Taipei National University of the Arts (B.F.A) and Tunghai University (M.F.A), now lives and works in Oslo, Norway. She is always concerned more about our life than other subject matter. Shian Yuan uses common objects like lotus, vases to explore East Asia ink and wash on the knowledge and deep respect toward traditional Ink painting. 

 

The latest series “Peace is in front of your eyes” is inspired by Syrian civil war and refugee crisis. Recently inspired by Nordic European and Indian culture, her floral paintings splash with brighten and vivid coulour shown her compassion of human condition. She dedicates herself into an inner, mindfulness, personal expectation which prefer certain distance from the “muddy” world and its unbearable reality.
